The Olive Tree and it's Branches

When I was in Israel the olive tree spoke to me a story that will be with me the rest of my life. It was the one thing that I saw that had so many secrets to tell because they have been around so long. Many of the olive trees in Israel are several thousand years old. The olive tree can live forever and it never needs to be watered or cared for, but it is always giving to the people of Israel.

11/21/2008 I am sitting at my desk again thinking about the same word that has b een on my mind for the last month or so. This word is so important to me and it seems to be a word that many people today are so willingly able to avoid because it is so inconvenient to their lives.

A unique document is the Hebrew Bible. To the Jewish people it is our life and our hope. The Revelation Of YHVH. The WORD of YHVH to change our lives and our world. Many millions have given their lives just to keep one commandment and not break this covenant with YHVH.

11/21/2008 Shalom Haverim (friends), I have been thinking all this month about a subject that has become a question of great importance to me in a time in my life where I have to teach my children about what is right and what is wrong in the world today. Often my children ask me a question that each one of us should be asking ourselves daily as we live our lives.

11/21/2008 Shalom friends (Havarim), I want to bring you once again to look at the scriptures through biblical eyes, the eyes of the Messianic Jew. In the first century after the death, and resurrection of Yeshua, the congregation, khal, in Hebrew, were all Jews until about the year 50 AD.
Yeshua loved El’azar (Lazarus) Israel.

Hebrew is a picture language so we need to start with some definitions. By the way all definitions come from the older covenant. Who is Ela’zar (Lazarus)? John 11:1”Now a certain man was sick, El'azar from Beit-Anyah, of the village of Miryam and her sister, Marta. 1. Israel is called a “Man”. Ezekiel and Yirmeyahu. Yirmeyahu 16:16 “Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith YHVH, and they shall fish them”.

11/21/2008 Both southern and northern kingdoms have been scattered to the four corners of the world and Messiahs coming was to regather the only two people He has had a covenant relationship with Judah and Israel. If you make the mistake and calling all of Israel “Jews” then you have disregarded all the prophecies of the Tanach and the purpose of Yeshua coming to lay down His life to Renew the covenant with Judah and Israel.
Yirmeyahu 31:31 “Behold, the days come, says YHVH, that I will make a renewed covenant with the house of Yisra'el, and with the house of Yehudah”. Messianic Hebrews 8:8 “Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “That I will make a renewed covenant with the house of Yisra'el and with the house of Yehudah”. As you see Yahweh is still dealing with the same two people and His plan has not changed.

11/21/2008 In this passage is one of the Jots that Yeshua was speaking of in Mattitityahu 5:17 ”Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished.”
Israel Affliction
11/21/2008 Elazar represents you and I, Israel. Judah and Efrayim. Elazar was from Bethany. Bethany is the Hebrew word that means the house of the sick or afflicted. We are in this state today because we were scattered from our home (Israel) and from our brothers the Jewish people. This is also a reference to the Ten lost tribes of Israel. The affliction of Israel.

Shalom Chavarim (friends), As you read many of the words of the New Testament (Brit Chadasha -Renewed Covenant), we who grew up in the west have a Greek and Roman mind set and miss many of the truths the Bible is trying to show us. As I grow up in the Church I always was told that the whole amour of Yahweh was depicted in the amour of a Roman soldier.

In the book of Ephesians Rav Shaul tells us to put on the armor of Elohim. When Rav Shaul wrote those words he was quoting from Isaiah 59. Isa 59:16 He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.
