Hebrew is a picture language so we need to start with some definitions. By the way all definitions come from the older covenant. Who is Ela’zar (Lazarus)? John 11:1”Now a certain man was sick, El'azar from Beit-Anyah, of the village of Miryam and her sister, Marta. 1. Israel is called a “Man”. Ezekiel and Yirmeyahu. Yirmeyahu 16:16 “Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith YHVH, and they shall fish them”.
2. El-azar 461 'Eliy`ezer el-ee-eh'-zer from 410 and 5828; God of help; Eliezer (Lazarus). The servant of Yahweh. Abraham servant in Bereshet 15. Ya’akov, Israel is also Yahweh servant. Isaiah 44:1”Yet now hear, O Jacob My servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen”. Tehillim (Psalms) 136:22”Even a heritage unto Israel His servant, for His mercy endureth for ever”. Shemot (Exodus 3:12) “and He said: 'Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be the token unto thee, that I have sent thee: when thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve Elohim upon this mountain.'
3. Beit- Ani 6041 `aniy aw-nee' from 6031; depressed, in mind or circumstances; afflicted, humble, lowly, needy, poor. Ezekiel 34:4 ”You haven’t strengthened the diseased, neither have you healed that which was sick, neither have you bound up that which was broken, neither have you brought back that which was driven away, neither have you sought that which was lost”. Sick 2470 chalah khaw-law' to be weak, sick, afflicted; or (causatively) to grieve, make sick; woman in travail;
The Rabbinical commentaries tell us that it was the lost tribes of Israel who are afflicted and sick. *As a side note the “Chalil” is the word for flute or pierced one. Referring to the Messiah who also was afflicted for our transgression. Yeshua was the greatest servant of Israel who was also raised from the dead.
We become sick when we depart from the Torah of Yahweh. Isaiah 49:5 “Now says YHVH who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Ya`akov again to him, and that Yisra'el be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of YHVH, and my Elohim is become my strength); yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Ya`akov, and to restore the preserved of Yisra'el: I will also give you for a light to the Goyim, that you may be my salvation to the end of the eretz(earth) . Thus says YHVH, the Redeemer of Yisra'el”.
I would like to answer a question quickly for you. Who are the “gentiles” or “nations”? Isaiah 42:6 “I, YHVH, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Goyim; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison-house. Israel was to be a light to the gentiles but failed so Yeshua became that light to the gentiles. But who are the gentiles?

Look at verse 18”Hear, you deaf; and look, you blind, that you may see. Who is blind, but my servant? Or deaf, as my messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is at shalom, and blind as Yahweh’s servant? You see many things, but don’t observe. His ears are open, but he doesn’t hear. It pleased Yahweh, for his righteousness’ sake, to magnify the Torah, and make it honorable. But this is a people robbed and plundered; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison-houses: they are for a prey, and none delivers; for a spoil, and none says, Restore. Who is there among you who will give ear to this? Who will listen and hear for the time to come? Who gave Ya`akov for a spoil, and Yisra'el to the robbers? Didn’t YHVH? He against whom we have sinned, and in whose ways they would not walk, neither were they obedient to His Torah. So Israel is being called the gentiles here. They are being called the nations. Efrayim the northern kingdom. The scattered seed of Israel. Also see Isaiah 49:5-6.
Lazarus is a picture of the northern kingdom in exile. Isaiah 63:9”In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them, and carried them all the days of old”. Zecharyah 7:7 “So I fed the flock of slaughter, verily(1) the poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called(2) Beauty, and the other I called(3) Bands; and I fed the flock.(1) Or the most miserable of sheep 2) Or Graciousness 3) Or Binders ; Or Union )

I hope that you can see that Lazarus is a picture of the lost tribes of Israel.
Now I would like to share with you why you don’t believe what I am telling you. This was prophesied that Martha (Christianity) would not believe. First let me give you the picture of these two sisters. Both of these sisters names mean rebellious in the Greek and Hebrew. 4813 Miryam meer-yawm' from 4805; rebelliously; Miryam, the name of two Israelitesses. Greek 3137 and 3136. Mary or Miriam = "their rebellion"
Let us look and see who these rebellious sisters are from our dictionary the Tanach. Ezekiel 2:3 “And He said unto me: 'Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to rebellious nations, that have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me, even unto this very day”. Ezekiel 23:1”And there is a word of Yehovah unto me, saying, `Son of man, Two women were daughters of one mother, And they go a-whoring in Egypt, In their youth they have gone a-whoring, There they have bruised their breasts, And there they have dealt with the loves of their virginity. And their names are Aholah the elder, And Aholibah her sister, And they are Mine, and bear sons and daughters. As to their names--Samaria is Aholah, And Jerusalem is Aholibah”.

Yochanan 11:3”The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, “Adonai, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.” But when Yeshua heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of YHVH, that YHVH’s Son may be glorified by it.” Now Yeshua loved Marta, and her sister, and El'azar. When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed two days in the place where he was. Then after this he said to the talmidim(disciples) , “Let’s go into Yehudah again.”
