Deu. 7:12-13
“And it shall be, because you hear [and obey #8085] these right-rulings, and shall guard and do them, that Yah your Elohim shall guard with you the covenant and the kindness which He swore to your fathers….. (Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob)  Yah covenants/binds Himself to us as well as us to Him.
….and shall love you and bless you and increase you, and shall bless (1) the fruit of your womb and (2) the fruit of your land, (3) your grain and (4) your new wine and (5) your oil, (6) the increase of your cattle and (7) the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you.
Blessed are you above all peoples – there is not going to be a barren man or a barren woman among you or among your livestock.”

[Genesis 26:4 “And I shall increase your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I shall give all these lands to your seed. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,..”]
Haftorah Portion:
[Isaiah 51:1-2  “Listen to Me, you who pursue righteousness, seeking Yah: Look to the rock you were hewn from, and to the hole of the pit you were dug from.
Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you. For he was alone when I called him, and I blessed him and increased him.”]
[Genesis 15:6  “And he (Abraham) believed in Yah, and He reckoned it to him for righteousness.”]
[Deu 6:25 “And it is righteousness for us when we guard to do all this command before Yah our Elohim, as He has commanded us.”]
[Psalms 119:172b  “For all Your commands are righteousness.”]
[Isaiah 51:7a  “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My Torah:…”]

Hebrews 11:8-13 (in part)
“By belief, Abraham obeyed…..”
“By belief, Abraham sojourned in the land of promise as a stranger,…”
“By belief also, Sarah herself was enabled to conceive seed,…”
“And so from one, and him as good as dead, were born as numerous as the stars of the heaven, as countless as the sand which is by the seashore.”

Sarah was the bride of Abraham.
Israel is the bride of Yah.
When Saran was “as good as dead”, she was able to conceive seed by belief.”
Israel, as good as dead in exile, can also, by looking to Abraham and to Sarah’s example of faith in Yah, conceive seed for Yah by that same belief.

Yah said He would bless us seven (7) ways in Deuteronomy 7:13:
(1) “fruit (6527) of your womb or body” (996)
#6527 – parat –  tet, resh, pey – to scatter words, prate, hum, chant
#996 – from 995 body– beyn or biyn -  nun sofit, yud, beit – to distinguish between or to separate mentally
The Word is the Seed. (Luke 8:11) He uses us to scatter/spread His Word. Then Yah Himself watches over His crop to distinguish between the good wheat and the tares which creep in.
Yah makes a distinction between His people and those who are not His people. Words are the result of the mental processes (or heart). (“But what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart… Matthew 15:18) Words separate as they define the motivations of the heart. We are judged by our words. Yah says here He will bless our words, which is the same as saying He will bless our heart motivations. In other words, He will give us a heart to know Him and love Him and serve Him. What a blessing!

(2) “fruit (6529) of the land” (127)
#6529 – periy – yud, resh, pey – fruit (lit. or fig.), bough, fruitful reward
127 – adaman – hey, mem, dalet, alef – from 119 – soil from its gen. redness, country, earth, ground, husband, man, land

Israel is the bride of Yah.
We will receive a fruitful reward from Yah (our husband), including the land, if we hear and obey (as did Abraham, whose example we are to look to). The land also will bear for us – if we keep His ketubah (His Commands).

 (3) Your grain (1715) dagan – nun sofit, gimmel, dalet – increase --  from 1711
1711 – dagah – hey gimmel, dalet – to move rapidly, to spawn, become numerous, grow – from 1709
1709 – dag – gimmel, dalet – from 1711 – a fish (as prolific)

In Genesis 48:16, “….And let my name be called upon them, and the name of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac. And let them increase to a multitude (1710) in the midst of the earth.”
1710 – dagah – hey, gimel, dalet,– fem of 1709 and means the same – fish

The produce of the land will be blessed. (I guess you could say we also are the produce of the land – fish?)
[BREAD [BODY]  What is made from grain? Who has called Himself the Bread of Life?
We are blessed in Yahusha. He will bless our grain/crops and in so doing, He will also bless us. This is a double-play on the promise/prophecy given to Ephraim/Manassah by Jacob. If we increase as fish – our grain will need to also. And Yah says it will.

 (4) “and your new wine - #8492 – tiyrowsh – shin, vav, resh, yud, tav – expulsion, just squeezed out from 3423 – yarash – shin, resh, yud – to occupy by driving out previous tenants and possessing in their place, to expel
[WINE [BLOOD]

Let’s look at the word tiyorowsh: shin, vav, resh, yud, tav – resh representing ‘the highest, first, beginning’(Yah) is the heart of the word. On one side of ‘resh’ is a yud, representing ‘a hand’ and on the other side a ‘vav’ representing ‘a nail’, which put ‘teeth’ (shin) into Yah’s ‘covenant’ (tav) with man.
We see in the word itself, which also represents ‘blood’, wherein is life, the story of redemption. It is only through belief in and obedience to this Covenant that we receive life or the land. It is Yah Who will drive out the previous tenants of the land and give it to us, as we, His bride, keep His ketubah, showing our love and loyalty for our Husband.

(5) “and your oil” – 8081 – shemen – nun sofit, mem, shin – liquid from the olive, richness, fruitful, anointing (We are Yah’s anointed. The richness of the land is promised if we shama [hear & obey]}. No good thing is withheld.
[HOLY SPIRIT]

(6) offspring - #7698 – sheger – resh, gimel, shin – to eject, finally be expelled, that cometh of increase  (In Jacob’s blessing on Ephraim and Mannash, he proclaimed that they .”…increase to a multitude (fish) in the midst of the earth..”) We are the offspring that cometh of increase.
oxen - #504 – eleph –  pey, lamed, alef – a family (also from sense of yoking or taming an ox or cow) – from 502 – alaph – pey, lamed, alef – to associate with , to learn, cause to teach
We are the ‘offspring’ that cometh of increase, that will finally be born again (expelled) and become the ‘family’ we were meant to be – learn, teach and associate with others of like kind (family)

(7) young ones (or increase) – 6251 – ashterah – hey, resh, tav, shin, ayin – increase, from 6238 – asahr – resh, shin, ayin – to accumulate, to grow, make rich
“of the flock” – 6629 – tsone – nun sofit, yud, alef, tsad – to migrate, name for a flock of sheep also figuratively of men
Here Yah is again repeating His promise to make us, His flock (men), grow and increase (become rich).  Why does Yah give us wealth?  (8:18)
“But you shall remember Yah your Elohim, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, in order to establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is today.”
Yah gives us wealth to bring in His kingdom (establish His Covenant) here on earth, “….Thy kingdom come, Thy Will (Covenant) be done, on earth as it is in heaven…”
“And you, My flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, and I am your Elohim,” declares the Master Yah.’” Ezekiel 34:17

BLESSINGS
Elohim said He would love us, bless us and increase us, and then goes into exactly what He will do. He is not vague, leaving ‘wiggle room’ for Himself, ‘just in case’. He binds Himself specifically to us. Yes, on one level He will bless our possessions. But He is actually doing so much more. On another level, Elohim is blessing us above and beyond what we could ever ask or think. In this blessing, we again see the number seven.
Yah is ‘sevening’ Himself or covenanting with us. They are all a part of one blessing, manifested in seven ways. To receive one is to receive all.
This tells us that Yah expects specific things out of us also – not just vague, symbolic, open to whatever moves you at the moment. Yah is a Yah of details and specifics, as He is an El of order.

COVENANTS
7:18-19
Of the seven things with which Yah ‘sevened” Himself, identifying His people, Israel – covered in the Deuteronomy 4:34 article, five are specifically mentioned – war has just been spoken of in v.16 – terror is implied.  (1) Great trials, (2) signs, (3) wonders, (4) strong hand, (5) outstretched arm (6) war v.16 (7) great terror – implied
Yah is repeating Himself. Yah does not waste words. When He repeats, it is for us to pay close attention.

FESTIVALS
Deu 8:8

A land of (1) wheat and (2) barley, of (3) vines and (4) fig trees and (5) pomegranates, a land of (6) olive oil and (7) honey,…..

(1) Wheat - #2406 – chittah – hey, tet, chet – wheat, whether grain (masculine) - or plant (feminine)

[HOLY SPIRIT – HOLY ANOINTING OIL ] ---   with which the Menorah burns
Revelations 4:5  “And out of the throne came lightnings, and thunders, and voices. And seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim.”

(7) honey – 1706 – debash – shin, beit, dalet – to be gummy, honey (from its stickiness); syrup
Ezekiel 3:1-3 – “And He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find, eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”
And I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.
And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your stomach, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I am giving you.” And I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.”
Revelation 10:9-10 – “And I went to the messenger and said to him, “Give me the little book.” And he said to me, “Take and eat it, and it shall make your stomach bitter, but it shall be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”
And I took the little book out of the messenger’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.”
Psalms 19:10 - “More desirable than gold, than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.”
Psalms 119:103 – “How sweet to my taste has Your word been, More than honey to my mouth!”

This description of the good land Yah is bringing us into (v 7-10) is ‘enclosed’ by our ‘specific’ requirements for Him to be able to do so.
In verse 6, first from a positive perspective, “therefore you shall guard the commands of Yah your Elohim, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.”
Then in verse 11, He states it from a negative perspective of ‘forgetting Him’. “Be on guard, lest you forget Yah your Elohim by not guarding His commands, and His right-rulings, and His laws which I command you today”.

Penecost is the Wheat Harvest.
Passover is the Barley Harvest.
Both are FirstFruits before the final harvest of Tabernacles.
Tabernacles is the Fruit Harvest.
These are the three (3) festivals that we are commanded to come up each year to Jerusalem to celebrate before Yah. (And we are not to come ‘empty-handed’).

OLIVE OIL IS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
in completeness and power and brilliance (seven manifestations).

HONEY IS REPRESENTATIVE OF YAH’S LIVING WORD AND ITS LIFE-GIVING POWER.

(4) Wheat/Penecost – Mosiac Covenant/Yah’s government  –
Spirit of Adoni
(1) Barley/Passover – Adamic Covenant/Trusting childlike obedience  –
Spirit of Wisdom
(7) Fruit/Tabernacles – Messianic Covenant/Yah’s Kingdom on earth  –
Spirit of Reverence

This is the 1st(first), 4th (middle), and 7th (last) Mo’edine (Festivals), encompassing them all; all are enclosed within these.

“The fear (reverence) of Yah is the beginning of Wisdom” – the last cycling back to the first, keeping the cycle of life going.

‘The Spirit of Adonai is the defining and governing spirit that encompasses the individual manifestations of that spirit by a particular name or function.’ (The Creation Gospel, Book 1, pg.37)
Yah will lift Israel up and plant Israel in her own land, [“   a land flowing with milk and honey…”] promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their seed, and will make her fruitful and increase her, as we are obedient to His Commands/Word.

Yah’s Blessings, His Festivals and His Covenants are all One – different manifestations of the same Plan. The Covenants are in the Festivals. The Festivals are in the Covenants. Yah’s Blessings, through His Holy Spirit in all seven manifestations, move in them all. It was all set in place at the same time – in the beginning.

Yah will be our Elohim, binding (‘sevening’) Himself to us and we will be His people, binding (‘sevening’ #7650) ourselves to Him.  We will dwell in peace and safety forever.

As a caution against pride, Yah tells Israel 3 times (9: 4, 5, 6) that it is not because of their righteousness that Yah is giving them the land but because of the wrong of the nations He is driving out and “in order to establish the word which Yah swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

It’s not about us. It always has been and always will be about Yah and His Word. May His Name be glorified and praised and magnified in all the earth. Amein.

COULDN’T HELP BUT BE AMUSED:

9:12 Yah is calling Israel Moses’s people who Moses brought out of Egypt
9:26,29 Moses is calling them Yah’s people who Yah brought out of Egypt
Reminds of parents talking to each other about a misbehaving child, each calling the child (in this case, Israel) the other’s, neither wanting to claim them at the moment.
