Mayim-Hayim Hebraic Learning Center
Shalom Haverim, Well it has been several months since I have written to you and I hope that things are well with you? I pray that last year was a year filled with many blessings and that this new year to come will even be more of a blessing to you and your family.
I have been in a place of learning for the last several months and have so many new things to share with you in the year to come. I would like first of all to say thank for all your prayers and for your support to our ministry.
In the month of September several messianic congregations raised over 10,500.00 for our friends in Israel who lost their homes and many memories that cannot be replaced. The ladies from these congregations deserve a hand of applause for such a great effort. We all know that it was made possible because of the work of our Father and our King. We also would like to acknowledge Adot Adonai and their great wisdom in helping our ministry through some rough spots this last year.
With the help of the Messianic community and the Christian community we hope to bring you even bigger and great things this year to help you along in our study and walk with Father YHVH and His salvation Yeshua.
I look forward to meeting many of you this year as I plan to get out more and teach. By the way the Hebrew classes are going so well and we would invite you to contact us and find out how you can learn the Hebrew language to help you with your studies.
In my last newsletter I addressed the story in Yochanan 11 (John) and the hidden prophecy concerning Israel. The resurrection of Lazarus and the restoration of the kingdom of Israel from exile. Every story in the Bible has a hidden meaning, and is not just a story put together as an epic. Every word in the Bible has endless meaning and in the language of the Zohar it states, “The stories in the Bible couldn’t be about what they seem to be about, otherwise we could write better stories.
The question is how do we understand and learn what the Father is trying to teach us? Well I believe we have to do what Yahweh has been trying to do from the very beginning, take us by the hand and lead us back to the house. The beginning. By the way the story of the gospel is in the very first word of the Hebrew Bible, but only in Hebrew will you see it. And by the way it starts with a house the letter “bet” which stands for a house in Hebrew.
So let us beginning were we left off in the story of Yochanan 11 and the story of the redemption of Israel. Those both near and far-off. Acts 1 and 2.
First we must establish in this teaching that words mean things and that the things written mean something different than what we think they mean. Let us look at an example given to us in Bershet (Genesis) 5 and the story of Adam to Noah. The names listed mean nothing in the English but if you take these names back to the Hebrew we see something that is amazing. The gospel! So get your Bible and lets go find the treasures awaiting us. Look at Bershet (Genesis) 5 and the names,
Remember what YHVH said in Isaiah 46:10 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying: 'My counsel shall stand, and all My pleasure will I do.”
The Composite List
Now let's put it all together:
Hebrew - English
Adam - Man
Seth - Appointed
Enosh - Mortal
Kenan - Sorrow;
Mahalale - The Blessed God
Jared - Shall come down
Enoch - Teaching
Methuselah - His death shall bring
Lamech - The Despairing
Noah - Rest, or comfort.
That's rather remarkable:
Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.
Here's the Gospel hidden within a genealogy in Genesis!
Gives us no room for doubt who our Yeshua (salvation) is from the beginning!
With all that said, do we think that there could be more to the scriptures than just what we see on the surface of the stories? Is going back to the Hebrew important?
