Eph 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
Eph 6:11
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13
Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14
Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Eph 6:15
and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of shalom;
Eph 6:16
above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
Eph 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God;
Eph 6:18
with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the holy ones:
Well let us look at this and see what Rav Shaul could have been reffering to?
Put on the whole Amour.
Shalom Chavarim (friends),
As you read many of the words of the New Testament (Brit Chadasha -Renewed Covenant), we who grew up in the west have a Greek and Roman mind set and miss many of the truths the Bible is trying to show us.
As I grow up in the Church I always was told that the whole amour of Yahweh was depicted in the amour of a Roman soldier.

It was explained to me that the “Old Testament” was replaced by the New Testament and the ceremonial laws “Sabbath and festivals and eating laws (Kosher) was put aside because we are now are saved in believing in Jesus.
Jesus is the English word for Yeshua or Yah’shua. This was the name given to him by His Father in heaven and the angel Gabriel. This name means “Yah’s salvation.”
Once again I was faced with so many questions and everyone had the same answer about the Old Testament, it is old.
Obeying the commandments of the GOD of Israel has now become legalism and trying to earn you way to heaven.
I believe the God Of Israel says if you love Him and believe in His salvation “Yeshua’ you will obey His commandments.
I heard a pastor on the radio explain to his audience that the commandments were a cruse or a burden.
He was using the book of Galatians to validate his point. This is the passage he used. Galatians 3:10
“For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who continueth not in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”
Deu 28:58
`If thou dost not observe to do all the words of this law which are written in this book, to fear this honored and fearful name--Yahweh thy God--
This is not a quote from the Torah but is a reference to the oral law the second Torah of Orthodox Judaism. The phrase “works of the Law” is only found in oral traditions and the writings of the Dead Sea scrolls.
Rav Shaul was trying to warn believers (non-Jewish) not to follow in the ways of the traditions of men.
Works of the Law is the oral commandments of 1St century Judaism and has found its way into the Judaism of today and the Christianity of today.
I will speak on this in a latter article.
So the question I would ask you getting back to the whole amour of Yahweh.
Did Isaiah ever see a Roman soldier?
What was Isaiah describing when he penned his words?
Look at the Torah scroll and see if this helps you with the answers.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may have the power to make a stand against the schemes of the Devil.”

When Rav Shaul said these words he was quoting the Prophet Isaiah and pointing everyone to the scriptures.
Isa 59:16
He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness, it upheld him.
Isa 59:17
He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was
clad with zeal as a mantle.
Isa 59:18
According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompense.
Isa 59:19
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of the LORD drives.
Isa 59:20
A Redeemer will come to Tziyon, and to those who turn from disobedience in Ya`akov, says the LORD.
Isa 59:21
As for me, this is my covenant with them, says the LORD: my Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed, says the LORD, from henceforth and forever.
This is exactly what Rav Shaul was saying to Timothy.
“
2Ti 3:14 But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you have learned them;
2Ti 3:15
and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which have the power to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Yeshua the Messiah.
2Ti 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
2Ti 3:17
that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
Eph 6:12
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may have the power to oppose in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Eph 6:14
Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH,

Every Torah scroll has a belt like Elijah wore and like John the Baptist wore.
AND HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,

Eph 6:15
and having shod YOUR FEET, WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOOD NEWS OF PEACE,

The Etz Chayim (Tree of Life)
The Torah contains the need for a redeemer and restoration.
These are the feet of the Torah scroll carried by the Prophets, Teachers, Evangelist, Pastors, and Apostles.
Breastplate
Eph 6:16
in all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will have the power to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one.
Crown
Eph 6:17
And receive the HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God;
Sword
The Sword of the spirit is the word of Yahweh.
The arm of Yahweh.
This is what points you to the sword (word) of Yahweh .
This also represents His own arm as Isaiah said.
Isaiah 59:16 “herefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.”
Eph 6:18
through all prayer and supplication pray at all seasons in the Spirit, and with this in view, keep alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
These prayers are the continual prayers said in the morning and the afternoon and evening.
These prayers are appointed times and commanded by Yahweh.
