Mayim-Hayim Hebraic Learning Center With that in mind let us begin our story in the book of Yochanan (John) Chapter 11 and see if there is more to this story than meets the eye.

Our story begins with a man named Lazarus and this should be a hint to you. Lazarus is strongs number 2976 Lazaros lad'-zar-os Hebrew origin (499); Lazarus (i.e. Elazar).

What is interesting is that 2976 is translated from the Hebrew word 04565 bammistar. Mictar mis-tawr' from 5641; properly, a concealer, i.e. a covert:--secret(-ly, place). 5641 cathar saw-thar' a primitive root; to hide (by covering), literally or figuratively:--be absent, keep close, conceal, hide (self), (keep) secret, X surely

So in other words, there is something hidden in this story. What I would like to suggest to you is that this is the story of the end time regathering of the whole house of Israel. Which will fulfill what so many Jewish people have been praying for. The regathering of the exiles from all the nations where they were scattered.

The names in the story will gives us many clues to what is happening to today with YHVH’s people. In our story Mary and Martha are sisters and both of their names mean rebellious. The picture the Father is trying to paint for us is the story of the Jew and the Christian and the attitudes of each during the last days during the tribulation. Martha (Greek Lexicon #4813) represents the Christians of today. Mary (Hebrew Lexicon # 4813) represents the Jewish people of today. The question I must ask is this. Are we as Jews and Christians obedient to the Father’s commandments, or are we a rebellious house? (Ezekiel 2)

What I would like to establish for us is that all the prophecies in the whole Bible pertain to the last generation more than any other people. There is no separate prophecies for the Jews and the Christians. We are all one House that for to long has been separated from each other.

What I want us to do is to really look at our own hearts and ask ourselves are we truly walking like Yeshua walked? Could we be harboring hate in our heart for someone. Someone like our brother how can we truly say we love YHVH our Father when we have hatred for our own brother? I Yochanan 2:7”Beloved, no new commandment write I unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning: the old commandment is the word which ye heard. 8Again, a new commandment write I unto you, which thing is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shineth. 9He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother, is in the darkness even until now. 10He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him. 11But he that hateth his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.”

Our great Rabbi Rav Shaul said Israel is blinded in part. I and would have to say that is you and I. We have so much that we do not see because of our pride and our arrogance toward each other. Israel is not just the Jews but Israel is you my dear Christian brother. YHVH people. YHVH has been trying to bring us all back to him, but we all like sheep have gone a stray. The Jew with his arrogance of knowledge and traditions and the Christian with his service and pride and his traditions. The Jews through their traditions rejecting the Messiah Yeshua and the Christians rejecting the Law of Moses (Torah). Both so blinded following their tradition, that they do not see the work of Messiah bring all things to pass.
